ABOUT ME

HI!

I'm Elizabeth (Iza for short) - a wife of an OFW.

For many years I lived in the in-between space of hope and uncertainty.

Before this journey, I was a regular office employee, doing my best to balance work, home, and the emotional weight of being a spouse left to manage everything on my own. Like many OFW families, I experienced irregular remittances- months of enough, followed by months of worry. As they say money for us is "now you see, now you don't" niche. Each transfer carried relief, but also pressure: Will this last? What if the next one is delayed? On top of that, I faced the quiet struggle many spouses don't talk about - toxic financial expectations from relatives. Saying "yes" felt like love. Saying 'no" felt like guilt. Overtime, those decisions slowly drained our resources and peace. I was juggling family responsibilities and work, trying to be strong for everyone, while silently dealing with the consequences of poor money management and financial loss. There were moments when I felt ashamed, overwhelmed, and unsure if things would ever change.

Everything shifted when I chose to seek help.

Through the guidance of financial mentors, I learned that financial struggles are not a sign of failure - they are a sign that education is missing. Step by step, I rebuilt what was lost, replaced confusion with clarity, and transformed fear into confidence.

Today, I stand on the other side of that journey-financially literate, wiser and deeply grateful. I didn't become perfect with money overnight, but I became intentional, informed and at peace.

Now my heart is to help other OFW spouses who feel stuck where I once was. If you're overwhelmed by remittances, pressured by family, or tired of living paycheck to paycheck despite sacrifices - you are not alone.

If I was able to move from financial chaos to clarity, so you can.
